Meet Mark Jennings – Producer and Host, Passport2Fit…
Age 55 Hometown: Tahoe City, CA.
I would describe myself as fun loving, adventurous, motivated and curious. Exploring new cultures is a continual discovery, and always enlightening. I spent the last 20 years traveling the globe, producing and co-hosting the Passport to Adventure series on PBS.
Growing up, my father was a captain in the U.S. Air Force, and we lived in the Philippine Islands. Playing with the local kids, I learned to speak Tagalog at the same time as English. I played soccer and swam in the South China Sea with locals for hours on end- we always had to keep an eye out for sharks!
Returning to the U.S., I attended San Jose State University, and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Communications. After college I created and began hosting a syndicated travel series on skiing around the globe, titled Inside Skiing. We filmed from the Alps to the Andes, and as far south as New Zealand.
Travel is a continual discovery – we find out so much about ourselves with each new experience. Meeting people from different cultures expands our world, and for me, the universal language is a smile. It is amazing how disarming a grin can be, and how it magically opens the door for new relationships. Strangers become friends without saying a word – creating an instant bond. I have felt that warm, wonderful connection from Thailand to Transylvania.
In my 50’s, I began to feel my body slowing down, yet want to remain as active and vibrant as possible. Passport2Fit involves every aspect of our lives; regular exercise, healthy eating habits, stretching, yoga, and so much more. In the first 30 days, I have dropped 15 pounds of fat, and have elevated my energy level tremendously.
The before and after photos are illuminating. I have improved every aspect of my life, and invite you to join Mardie and I, as we take you on a journey to discover your full potential, with Passport2Fit.
All the best,
Mark Jennings
